Founded and registered in 2011. Women In democracy and governance (WIDAG) is a nonprofit making, non partisan, Community based grassroots women rights organization whose core objective is to socially, economically, politically work hand in hand with Kenyan women and girls and transform their individual lives.

WIDAG empowers grassroots women groupseconomically to carry out their projects, these grants are given to women Grass roots self-help and community based organizations that need considerable financial and human resources to enable them to pursue their visions and missions and implement projects and programmes aimed at improving the livelihoods of women and girls in unfortunately grass roots organizations in Kenya,like in many other jurisdictions, do not haveadequate resources of their own.
